I'm 30-something, enginerd, been 'round the block a few times, seen some stuff, done some stuff, studied a bit (BSc, MBA), don't hold a matriculation exam (Finnish thing, a.k.a Lukio) degree; I took up the trade school route and haven't looked back much.</p> <p>Trade school route means that I can actually do something with my hands, not just write. Just a while ago (as of when writing) I hacked up gates from wood for the dog-fence. And no, they weren't pre-cut, and yes, they came out nice. The perfectionist GF even said that that they look nice.</p> <p>I live within a commuting distance from the Capitol with my GF in a house that we built here a few years back; we now have two dogs, standard issue poodles that actually are brothers, although that doesn't seem to bother them when they tear into each other every now and then. Nothing serious, mind you... just normal dog-stuff. Lots of noise and tumbling.</p> <p>I also have a daughter, she was born in 1996. Keep off, or else.</p> <p>What else? I pretty much like to work, weirdly enough. I'm in a good position doing stuff that I mostly like (hey, I <b>did</b> say <i>pretty</i> much; my favorite colors must be black or blue, I like doing geeky things, like writing homepages with vim on a whim (had to write that, sorry), I seem to have a bad sense of humor - or at least it tends to be somewhat incompatible with some other people.</p> <p>Comparing to sales-people I could be defined as introvert, and compared to geek-coders I'm extreme extrovert - so I guess I hang somewhere in the middle. Recently I've been told a few times I'm funny. Don't know why, but that has actually picked up lately... maybe I'm growing up. Then again...
